Rescuers were called to the Rock River near Edgemere Terrace after boaters found a submerged car in the river. Firefighters located the vehicle and a diver was put in the water and found no one inside. Then the fun began of trying to get the vehicle out in the mostly wooded area; it would take a couple hours. Firefighters assisted two divers in cold water suits hook up the car and it was pulled out of the water. It seems the Kia Soul was stolen locally the night before and it was unclear exactly where and how it got in the river. North Park Fire and the Winnebago Co. Dive Team assisted Harlem-Roscoe with this call.
