Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters were dispatched just before midnight on the first day of the new year for a structure fire. The chimney chase was fully involved with fire when fire units arrived. After a quick knock down of the fire and a good overhaul looking for hot spots, the firefighters were able to get the trucks and themselves out of the below zero wind chills; and safely back home. The twelve people in the home at the time of the fire were safely outside when units arrived and no one was injured. Chief Don Shoevlin says" The firefighters did a great job at stopping the fire. Fire damage was contained to the outside wall and chimney chase with minimal damage to the inside."
