Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the basement on Stonington Way at 6:05 am on Jan. 21. HRFD Fire Chief Shoevlin reports, "We were dispatched for a basement fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire in a garbage can in the basement. Quick action by our personnel contained the fire to contents only. Fire appears to be accident and caused by smoking materials." Thank you to our auto aid departments for their assistance with this call.
