Family Farm Hit Hard by Fire
April 24, 2005, around 8pm, Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters arrived at a farm on Stateline Road to find that fire was destoying a pole barn and a 2-story garage. Firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire spread at the house which had received some exterior damage. Luckily no one was injured and the family was able to save some vehicles including a tractor from the burning buildings before firefighters arrived. Fire investigators believe the cause of the fire to be from burning embers that might not have been totally extinguished while the resident was burning earlier that day.
