Harlem-Roscoe Fire fought a house fire on 7699 Cherry Hill Dr. in Roscoe on Aug. 21. Harlem-Roscoe Fire Chief Don Shoevlin says, "I would like to thank all members of HRFD and those neighboring departments that responded to our MABAS request with our structure fire on. The fire did extensive damage and the cause is under investigation. All personnel from all the departments worked cohesively to mitigate the incident. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters. It is reassuring to know that when the alarm goes out we not only can count on our personnel but our MABAS agencies as well. The MABAS system does work and will continue to do so."
