Family Loses Home to Fire
September 28, 2004 at 1:11am, a Harlem-Roscoe Firefighter was home sleeping when not only his fire pager went off for a complaint of someone burning in his neighborhood, but the fire alarms started going off in his home as well. He quickly found the two alarms were for the same fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene on Weatherfield Ct., the fire was already through the outside wall and up into the attic. With 20+mph winds, the fire was now out of control. Firefighters fought hard, but the home was extensively damaged before they had it extinguished. The fire was investigated and the cause was electrical and no one was injured in during the fire.
