Firefighters Save House, Dog, & Cat.

Around 3am, residents on Gunpowder Drive woke to the sound of their smoke alarm on October 14. The three residents tried to grab their pets as they fled the smoke filled home. They were only able to get one dog as the smoke went lower and lower to the floor and they fled for their own safety. Firefighters found the kitchen fully involved with fire and the rest of the home filled with smoke. The knock down of the fire was quick, and the two other pets, a dog and a cat, were rescued alive. The dog needed oxygen and the pet oxygen mask was used. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
