Retirement Party for Chief Oscar Presley

January 26, was a long day for retired Harlem-Roscoe Fire Chief Oscar Presley. The Harlem-Roscoe Trustees hosted an Open House at Station One and his family threw a party at the Roscoe VFW. From 1- 4 pm, over 500 well wishers streamed through a receiving line to wish the Chief well in his retirement. Cake, coffee, and punch were served at the station. A couple highlights were when 14 local fire chiefs paid tribute and the Lifeline Helicopter was landed. Later that night his firefighters, family, and close friends were on hand at the local Roscoe VFW for a fun night of skits and roasts. A tasty buffet of finger foods was supplied and served by the Roscoe VFW Post 2955 Women's Auxilairy and the cost of the hall was donated by the VFW.
