The dispatch for a car vs. dump truck on Free Church Road and Rockton Road brought out a multi-agency response with Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters and EMS, Capron Ambulance EMS, and the Lifeline Helicopter crew all working against precious time to extricate the driver from a badly mangled car. Many of the department's heavy extrication tools such as the "Jaws-of-Life" were used. Lifeline Helicopter was landed in a nearby field and crew brought to the scene. Sadly the driver would be pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not transported. It seems the driver of the car was traveling west on Rockton Road (which had a stop sign) and the dump truck was traveling north on Free Church Road when they crashed in the intersection. The force of the collision sent both vehicle into the ditches on Free Church Road.
