House Fire


At approximately 2:45am this morning, Harlem Roscoe Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Twin Deer Rd. in Roscoe. Chief Don Shoevlin reports, "Upon arrival of first unit fire was found through the roof in the rear of a single family home. The fire was knocked down quickly by fire crews. The home sustained extensive smoke damage. The fire is still under investigation but appears accidental in nature and possibly started on the exterior of the home by a gas grill. The home was occupied at the time of the fire with the occupants being outside upon arrival of firefighters. Excellent job of locating, containing and extinguishing the fire by our personnel. There were no injuries to any firefighters and the residents were checked out by our Paramedics."
