Condemmed House Burns Twice
March 22, 2007, just before 11pm, neighbors on Wallace Drive in Roscoe reported smoke showing from the home at the end of the street. First-in firefighters reported smoke showing with fire erupting out a back window. Neighbors didn't know if the occupant was home, but his truck was in the driveway. Searches of the building did not find anyone, and it was found that the home had been condemmed earlier in the day. The fire was extinguished, overhauled, and Investigators believe the cause of the fire to be electrical. It was now after 1am.
However, 4 hours later, firefighters were again toned out for a fire at the same address. It seems the building had rekindled and was on fire again. The fire was quickly knocked down and the building overhauled.
