Storms Hit H-R Fire District

September 13, 2005, a surprise storm blew through our district with over 70mph winds. The departments main radio tower, that is rated for 120 mph winds, twisted and was bent in half. Radio traffic was switched to tack 2 until after the storm when firefighters were able to get up in the ladder truck to temporarily get tack 1 back online. The storm hit around 5pm, and for the next two hours firefighters answered over 20 calls due to storm damage. Following is some pictures from some of those calls.
